REBIRTH: the pain of welcoming change

Stop filling the gap with material possessions and soul-less relationships.

They are not fulfilling you.

They are keeping you at surface level and this is why you continue to attract the mediocre.

You’re stuck under the glass ceiling because you haven’t yet built the courage to explore your truth.

But when the pain point becomes too much you’ll be forced to go deep.

Start preparing now. Because when you finally accept you must go there, the mask will fall and with it, all the mediocrity that you’ve reluctantly accepted up until this point.

The rebirth has begun.

As my memory recalls, it started in 2004.

The year I opened my first real estate agency.

What started out as a plan to build wealth and become a success soon turned into an endless rotating cycle of stress, disappointment, resentment, more stress and eventually, depression.

The burden lay solely on me, despite the fact I had a partner and a team of people to support the success of this new venture.

Whether it was the inability to delegate or an inner knowing I had bitten off more than I could chew, deep inside, the 23 year old me was sinking.

But on the outside, I was winning.

Seemingly.

Material things kept me in a state of belief that this was right.

It was what I wanted, wasn’t it? The car, the house, the business, the respect.

The perfect life, lived in an imperfect place, with an imperfect partner. Was this me? It’s that moment you realise that everything you thought you wanted was far from what you needed to be happy.

That word.

Happy.

It seemed like a world away. A distant memory I had long forgotten.

Change needed to happen.

And so it began.

It started out with conscious choices. But it soon railroaded into a spiral of serendipitous events that would throw me like a rag doll into a new world I had never planned for.

They say, when the student is ready the teacher will appear. I can’t tell you how many lessons I learned in that next 10 year period, but they were pretty f***ing hard.

Needless to say, I survived the rebirth. I am better for it.

And you will be too.

My rebirth opened the doorway to who I am today.

It set me up. It gave me the resilience. The grit. The power in knowing I had been here before but with a lot less knowing and resources available to me. Only now, I had the mindset shift combined with the practical skills I needed.

I was finally ready to win.
